Saturday, June 30, 2018. New York City – Thousands of people rallied and marched today in NYC in support of undocumented families.

Although It was hot today in “The Capital of the World,” the weather did not stop people from marching form Foley Square Park in Manhattan to Cadman Plaza in Brooklyn.

Organizers said on Facebook: “On June 30, New Yorkers will join together with dozens of other cities in a National Day of Action to Fight for Families and to demand that Donald Trump and his administration stop separating kids from their parents! Families belong together, and we need to end this — NOW!

Every day, this administration threatens the very future of our communities. The conditions these children are being subjected to is deplorable and un-American. We hope to see thousands of people in the streets and at the border on June 30th demanding this policy end!”

The New York Immigration Coalition posted this message on Facebook, “The last marchers stepped off at 2pm from Foley Sq! We are so proud of #NYC showing the world, that #OurNY is #ImmigrantNY and we will continue to fight to End Family Separation and Detention! Today over 25,000 New Yorkers turned out to show the beauty of our City and State!”
